FAQ

Short answers to common questions.

Does Akashi hold my funds?

No. Deposits go from your wallet straight to the venue. Akashi never holds funds or keys and never signs transactions. See Security.

Does an A grade mean an opportunity is safe?

No. Grades are relative to Akashi's catalogue: an A is the safest thing here, not a safe thing. The score is not a probability of loss. See Limitations.

How often are rates and grades updated?

Grades are recomputed hourly, and immediately after a live-incident signal such as a depeg. A live depeg reaches the published grade within roughly 17 minutes.

Why is an opportunity "Not rated"?

The risk model covers stablecoin opportunities only. Anything outside that catalogue is shown as "Not rated" rather than given a number the model cannot support.

Is Akashi Invest live on mainnet?

Not yet. The vault program is a devnet preview with test USDC.

Why can't I withdraw my Junior shares right away?

Junior has a notice period (up to 24 hours in total), and its withdrawals are only funded while the vault's coverage stays above its minimum. Junior is first-loss capital; that cushion is what Senior pays a premium for. See Senior and Junior tranches.
