# Notifications (/akashi/notifications)

Notifications can help you follow supported changes to opportunities or positions. They are an additional signal, not a replacement for checking an investment’s current condition or an assurance that every event will be detected in time.

## Opt in explicitly [#opt-in-explicitly]

Open Notifications in the application and review the available alert types. Supported Telegram delivery requires linking the relevant account and enabling the applicable preferences. A wallet connection alone does not subscribe you to every alert.

The available controls and channels define what is supported. Do not assume email, SMS or automatic trading is enabled because the product has a notification page.

## Choose a frequency [#choose-a-frequency]

An alert can be off, immediate, hourly, daily or weekly where offered. Frequency controls delivery. A batched alert arrives according to the selected schedule rather than at the exact time the underlying event occurred.

Immediate means delivery after detection and processing, not synchronous notification on every block. Data sources, polling, network conditions and delivery services can introduce delays.

## What an alert does not do [#what-an-alert-does-not-do]

Receiving a warning does not automatically withdraw, rebalance or cancel a transaction. You still review the current position and sign any action you choose to take. A missing alert does not establish that nothing changed.

## Change your settings [#change-your-settings]

Use the application’s controls or the bot’s supported settings to adjust opt-in and frequency. Check the account and wallet being configured if expected messages do not arrive.

For issues, see [troubleshooting](/resources/troubleshooting). To interpret an alert about a grade, read [methodology](/akashi/methodology) and its [limitations](/akashi/methodology-limitations).
