# Discover yield opportunities (/akashi/discover)

Discover brings supported Solana yield opportunities into one board. Use it to compare what you would own, how it earns and how you could exit, before comparing rates.

A listing can provide information even when Akashi does not offer a deposit or withdrawal button for that opportunity.

## Start with the asset and strategy [#start-with-the-asset-and-strategy]

Identify the deposit asset and the position you would receive. A lending position, liquidity pool, yield-bearing token and leveraged strategy can have very different loss and exit behaviour, even when their displayed rates are similar.

Use the available filters to narrow the board, then open an opportunity's details. Check these items together:

| Item | Question it should help answer |
| --- | --- |
| Asset and strategy | What would I own, and where would the return come from? |
| Rate | Is this a current estimate or historical result? Does it include incentives or compounding? |
| TVL | How much value is in the product or pool? This does not measure available exit cash. |
| Risk grade | Which factors explain the grade, and is the opportunity within the model's scope? |
| Available action | Does Akashi support this operation, and what would the transaction do? |

## Read the rate and size together [#read-the-rate-and-size-together]

A displayed annual rate is a snapshot or estimate, depending on the source. It can change with borrowing demand, incentives and market conditions. It is not the result your position has already earned.

**Total value locked (TVL)** is the value held in the product or pool. High TVL does not establish that a position is diversified or that enough cash is available for your exit.

## Read the grade's reasons [#read-the-grades-reasons]

Rated opportunities have grades from A to E. These are categories in Akashi's comparison model, not probabilities of loss or insurance. **Not rated** means the model has not provided a supported grade.

Read the reasons, [methodology](/akashi/methodology) and [limitations](/akashi/methodology-limitations). A grade for one venue does not automatically describe an entire Akashi vault.

## Before using an action [#before-using-an-action]

Check the network, token, protocol, minimum amount, exit liquidity and any notice period. Review the supported transaction before signing.

For direct positions, continue with [deposits and withdrawals](/akashi/deposit-and-withdraw). For a managed vault with Senior and Junior, start with [Akashi Vaults](/invest).
